Philip Bonaventura*
Chief Financial Officer, PRSA

Philip T. Bonaventura, CPA, is the Chief Financial Officer of PRSA. Bonaventura leads the organization’s budgeting, financial projections and investor portfolio administration, as well as manages liquidity and treasury operations. He also provides strategic counsel in the development of new business initiatives and oversees the implementation of PRSA’s technology strategy. With nearly 30 years of experience, Bonaventura previously served as CFO for organizations including the United Nations Association of the United States of America, Inc., the League of American Theatres and Producers, and Jazz at Lincoln Center. Bonaventura earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from Syracuse University.

Philip Bonaventura*

Jano Cabrera is the chief communications officer for General Mills where he oversees the entirety of communications for the company. Previously, he served as senior vice president of corporate relations for the McDonald’s Corporation and served as worldwide vice president for Burson-Marsteller. Cabrera founded Carthage Group Communications, a strategic communications, government affairs and issue advocacy firm. Cabrera also spent a decade working in politics. He headed communications for various Presidential campaigns, worked in the White House and started his political career as a legislative aide on Capitol Hill and a federal budget analyst at a Washington DC think tank. In 2021, he was inducted into the PR Hall of Fame. He has been repeatedly named among the most influential leaders in Public Relations today by PR Week in their annual Power List. He is a graduate of Pomona College, where he earned his degree in politics.

Ron Culp is currently professional-in-residence in the PR and advertising program at DePaul University. Prior to DePaul, he was a Partner and Managing Director of the Midwest office of Ketchum where he later headed the agency’s Corporate Practice in North America. He spent 10 years at Sears where he became a member of the executive committee and Senior Vice President of Public Relations and Government Affairs. Prior to Sears, Culp’s roles included Executive Director of PR at Sara Lee Corporation, and Director of Public Relations at Pitney Bowes. In his early career, he was a political adviser in the New York State Assembly working on State Assembly races.

Corey duBrowa is CEO of BCW Worldwide. He was previously chief communications officer of Google, Salesforce, and Starbucks. He is a member of the PR News Hall of Fame and the University of Oregon’s School of Journalism and Communication Hall of Achievement. In addition to the PR Museum’s Board of Trustees, he is on the University of Oregon Foundation’s Board of Trustees. HoZac Books will publish his first book, "An Ideal For Living: A Celebration of the Extended Play" in 2024.

Corey duBrowa
Global CEO, Burson

Renée S. Edelman is a senior vice president at Edelman and has served in its global technology practice, counseling tech and internet companies as a senior media strategist. Since 2014, she has served on the board of directors of Daniel J. Edelman Holdings, Inc., the parent company of Edelman, and its sister agencies, Zeno Group and RUTH. In 1998, she helped found PR21, which has operated as Zeno Group since 2004. As the firm’s archivist, Ms. Edelman oversaw the launch of the Edelman Museum, housed in Chicago, in honor of the firm’s founder and chairman Daniel J. Edelman, and Ruth Edelman, his partner in life and business. Earlier, Ms. Edelman was a reporter for the Central Jersey Home News and a news assistant for the New York Daily News. She serves on the board of directors of the Theater for the New City. She holds a BA in English from Yale University and an MS in journalism from Columbia University.

Natan Edelsburg is the Chief Partnerships Officer at Muck Rack, the leading provider of AI-powered PR software built for how brands and agencies work, where he is cultivates strategic industry partnerships and drives international expansion. Mr. Edelsburg joined Muck Rack in 2009 as the company’s first employee. He held several positions there including Chief Operating Officer and Chief Revenue Officer. Mr. Edelsburg serves as an adjunct professor at New York University where he teaches an undergrad PR class at Steinhardt’s Media, Culture, and Communication program. He is a member of the Board of Trustees for the PRSA Foundation and a member of the board for FIBEP, the world’s media intelligence association. He’s been honored as one of PR News’ Rising Stars and one of PRSA’s 15 Under 35. He was named one of the Top Partnership Executives to Watch in 2025 by Pavilion, the #1 private community for go-to-market leaders. Natan’s a frequent speaker on social media, PR, journalism, and the future of TV. He’s also a jury member for the Digital Communication Awards in Berlin and the PRO PR Globe Communication Achievement Awards in Rome.

Mike Fernandez is a senior vice president and the chief communications officer of Enbridge, a multinational pipeline and energy company headquartered in Calgary, Canada. He was the former U.S. CEO of Burson-Marsteller and has served as a C-Suite executive for Fortune 500 companies in financial services, food, technology and health care. His roles have included leadership of sustainability, government relations, investor relations, marketing, and communications. And he has taught public relations at a number of colleges, including Boston University’s College of Communications.

Mike Fernandez

Pat Ford teaches crisis and corporate communication at the University of Florida following a four-decade career as a journalist, a think-tank executive, and most recently as vice chair and chief client officer at Burson-Marsteller (now BCW). He also serves on the board of the Plank Center for Leadership in PR. His professional recognition includes the IPR Lifetime Achievement Award, the Plank Center Milestones in Mentoring Award, and the Hispanic Public Relations Association President’s Award.

Mara Hedgecoth, chief communications & marketing officer at APCO, leads the global marketing and communications team, sets the strategic direction and oversees corporate communication, including media relations, thought leadership, internal communication, and crisis and issues management. She directs the development of APCO’s brand, global marketing and business development initiatives. Ms. Hedgecoth serves on APCO’s Executive Council and Operating Committee. She completed the 2017-2018 Page Future Leaders Experience, is a member of Page Up and chaired Page’s Spring Seminar 2025. She is on the Advisory Board of CommsWeek and the board of directors of Women Entrepreneurs Grow Global. Ms. Hedgecoth was named PRNEWS Top Women, Changemakers 2024; Ragan’s Top Women in Marketing, Brand Marketers 2024; Ragan’s Top Women in Communications, Leaders 2024; and Good Person of the Year by Goodwill Industries in 2005. She has a Bachelor of Business Administration with a specialization in Hospitality and Tourism Management from James Madison University and a Master of Business Administration with a specialization in Marketing Management from Johns Hopkins University.

Lucas Bernays Held, a grandson of Edward L. Bernays, is a writer and frequent speaker on strategic communication and arts marketing. He was vice president of communications at The Wallace Foundation for more than 20 years. Prior to that, he was vice president for public affairs at Barnard College, director of college relations at Connecticut College, and an editor and reporter at the Middletown Press of Connecticut. He is the recipient of awards from the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education, the University and College Designers Association, and the Admissions Marketing Report.

Denise Hill is vice president of corporate communications and community relations at the Lowe’s home improvement company. Having earned a Ph.D. in communications and media studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, she was most recently an associate professor of strategic communication at Elon University. Earlier in her career, she also held senior communications positions at companies in the consulting, hospitality, health, and pharmaceutical industries. In addition to serving on the board of the Museum of Public Relations, she is also chair of the Diversity Action Alliance.

Yan Jin, Ph.D., is the C. Richard Yarbrough Professor in Crisis Communication Leadership and a professor of public relations at Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication, University of Georgia (UGA). She is Director of the Crisis Communication Think Thank (CCTT) and Director of the Crisis, Risk, and Disaster Communication (CRDC) graduate certificate program at UGA. She has authored more than 120 journal articles and over 40 book chapters, as well as edited three scholarly books. She received the Association for Business Communication’s 2019 Kitty O. Locker Outstanding Researcher Award. She is a member of the Arthur W. Page Society.

Dr. Yan Jin
Professor of Public Relations, Grady College, University of Georgia

Stacey Jones is Honeywell’s Chief Communicator, leading the company's global brand and external communications and positioning it as one of the world’s most innovative organizations, a business partner of choice and a leading employer. Her responsibilities span a range of initiatives that promote and protect Honeywell’s brand and engage all stakeholders—including brand strategy and management, global media and analyst relations, corporate initiatives, financial communications, issues management, and executive positioning. Prior to joining Honeywell, Ms. Jones led Accenture’s global corporate communications function. She started her career as a journalist in Columbus, Ohio, and Chicago and managed public relations for Aetna. Jones is a member of Arthur W. Page Society, serves as immediate past chair of the board of directors of the Institute of Public Relations and regularly speaks at industry events. A graduate of Kenyon College in Ohio, she lives in Charlotte, NC, with her husband and two sons when they are home from school.

Dick Martin has authored six books about public relations, marketing, and ethics, as well as articles for such publications as the Harvard Business Review, the Journal of Business Strategy, and Chief Executive. From 1997 to 2003, he was executive vice president responsible for the AT&T corporation’s public relations, employee communications, and brand management worldwide. And he was one of the first recipients of the Arthur W. Page Center’s Award for Integrity in Public Communication.

Amanda McGuire is Associate Vice President, Enterprise Strategy Communications at Hyatt, where she is responsible for driving communications for priority enterprise initiatives for the global hotel company. Previously, Ms. McGuire was a Director of Global Communications at McDonald’s, where she served in various roles, leading internal, executive and ESG communications. Prior to McDonald’s, she was with Zeno Group, where she was responsible for developing and executing strategic programming across a broad range of global clients spanning geographies and industries.

Juan-Carlos Molleda has been the Edwin L. Artzt dean and professor at the University of Oregon’s School of Journalism and Communication since 2016. He is also an emeritus faculty of the University of Florida where he worked for 16 years. Molleda was awarded the 2010 University of South Carolina’s School of Journalism and Mass Communications Outstanding Young Alumni Award and the 2022 Institute for Public Relations Pathfinder Award. Since 2014, he has been the co-director of the Latin American Communication Monitor. Molleda is a board member of the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art, Museum of Public Relations, Page, and The LAGRANT Foundation.

Bill Nielsen retired as chief communications officer of Johnson & Johnson in 2004 after 17 years with the company. Prior to that, he spent l8 years with Carl Byoir & Associates and Hill and Knowlton. He is Chairman of the Board of Advisors to the Arthur W. Page Center at Penn State University, served two terms as president of the Arthur W. Page Society. He also chaired the boards of The Seminar and the Institute for Public Relations. He is a member of the Page Society’s Hall of Fame and the PRWeek Hall of Fame.

Bill Nielsen

Jim Olson is Head of Brand and Communications at Avelo Airlines. His role includes brand marketing, public relations, social media, internal communications, and community relations and partnerships. Olson previously served as Senior Vice President of Corporate Communications at United Airlines and Vice President of Corporate Communications at US Airways. Over the course of his career, he also served as Vice President of Global Corporate Communications at Starbucks Coffee Company and Vice President of Global Corporate Communications at Overture. Jim devoted the first decade of his career to public relations roles in the automotive industry at J.D. Power and Associates and advising Nissan North America. Jim earned a BS in Public Relations from Syracuse University and an MBA from the University of Southern California. He also holds a certificate in Airline Disaster Communications Management from the U.S. National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB).

Dave Samson has held leadership roles at Chevron, Levi Strauss & Co., IBM, Oracle and Edelman. He was an early pioneer in the use of data analytics and predictive modelling to advance the effectiveness of stakeholder engagement and issues management. Most recently, Mr. Samson served as Edelman’s Global Vice Chairman, Corporate Affairs and U.S. Chief Operating Officer. Earlier, he was the head of communications and public affairs at Chevron, where he was responsible for the company’s global communications strategies and activities, including corporate marketing and branding. Samson was also the head of worldwide communications for Levi Strauss & Co. and the international communications leader at IBM and Oracle. He is the past chairman of the Page Society, the world’s leading professional association for top corporate communications and agency executives. In 2018, he was inducted into the Page and PRWeek Hall of Fames. He is also a recipient of the Jack Koten Corporate Mentorship Award from the Plank Center for Leadership in Public Relations. Samson holds a B.A. in Journalism from Colorado State University.

Barby K. Siegel is CEO of Zeno Group, the award-winning, global communications agency driving real business and societal impact. A supporter of advancing DE&I in the industry, Barby co-created a new model of collaboration for change with the strategic investment in EGAMI Group, a multicultural integrated marketing firm. She serves on the National Board of Year Up and Page DE&I Advisory Board. Barby is a PRWeek Hall of Fame member and PRWeek Agency Person of the Year.

Barry Spector is the Museum's co-founder and chief creative officer. He co-founded Spector & Associates, an award-winning PR firm, providing web, photographic, corporate ID, and design services to Fortune 100 companies. A graduate of Pratt Institute in Communications, Barry served as art director for Avon Products and Forbes and introduced computerized design and production to major ad agencies. In 2017, he launched PRMuseum Press, the first publisher to serve the PR field exclusively.

Shelley Spector is CEO and co-founder of the Museum of Public Relations. She received Distinguished Service awards from both the Page Society and the American Journalism Historians Association. An authority on PR history, she is a frequent speaker to student and industry groups, has edited several books, and has contributed to papers on public relations’ contributions to key historical events. As CEO of Spector & Associates, she won more than 50 national awards for Fortune 500 companies.

Art Stevens is Managing Partner of The Stevens Group, a consulting organization that specializes in facilitating mergers and acquisitions in the public relations and related marketing communications industries. Mr. Stevens was the CEO of Lobsenz-Stevens, an independent public relations firm for many years. Stevens has served as instructor of public relations and management case studies at Fairleigh Dickinson University and lecturer at the New School, New York University, and many other colleges and associations. He is the author of The Persuasion Explosion, a book dealing with the role and influence of contemporary public relations practices, and When and How—Selling Your PR Agency.

Chuck Wallington is an executive vice president and chief marketing and communications officer for Cone Health in Greensboro, NC. His master’s research, “Barriers, Borders and Boundaries: Exploring why there are so few African American males in the public relations profession,” was one of the Top 15 Public Relations Research Insights of 2020. Chuck’s dissertation research is a book titled “A Seat at the C-Suite Table: Leadership Journeys of African American Male Executives.” It will be in the marketplace soon.
