Monday, October 2, 2017
On October 2, 2017, a panel consisting of Jennifer Cohan, president of Edelman, New York, Richard Edelman, Edelman CEO, Russell Dubner, president of Edelman US, and David Davis, Edelman UK (ret.), discussed the inside story of the 60-year history of the Edelman, the world's largest independently owned PR firm. A central part of the event was devoted to founder Dan Edelman's pioneering of communications marketing, the invention of the media tour (1952) to the firm's founding of environmental PR (1991), its culture-changing program for Dove (2004), and the creation of the world famous Edelman Trust Barometer, among other new methodologies, technologies and ways of thinking. The evening's event was produced by The Museum of Public Relations and sponsored in part by Edelman and Corporate Communication International (CCI).
